Leaves

We went to the mountains on Saturday to see the leaves start to change. They're just getting to the golden yellow, we'll have to go back in a few weeks to see the reds and oranges. It's already getting pretty chilly up there! We had a great time, a few close encounters, and 1 trip-ending ordeal.

There was a herd of cows that followed us around, Aaron fashioned a spear to protect us. They actually got pretty close a few times!

and the cow patty won, the end of our trip. But it was fun, and we went back home and had a tasty dinner around the fire. Pretty good Saturday.

Lake Trip

We took a quick weekend trip to the lake for Labor Day. We drove straight through, all 13 hours, to Cedar Creek Lake. We left at night thinking Ilon and Gabe would sleep....

Alligators in Alamosa

The Alligator Farm. Here in Alamosa, the middle of a valley, surrounded by mountains, is a farm full of alligators and other assortment of species. How did they get here? Do they know where they are? How do they survive the freakin' cold winters? I'm going to find out. We did have a great time though, and left with all of our parts.

I spent most of the time keeping little fingers away from the chain link fence. All that separated us from the alligators. Pretty sure they can snap right through that.
