I remember my family decorating the Christmas tree and sitting around in the dark with just the tree lights on listening to Silent Night. It's still pretty magical. This year the kids danced their little hearts out, Ilon sang songs about Christmas nipples...what??!?, and everything that doesn't move got stuck with a bow. LOVE the holidays:)

Thanksgiving in South Fork

We had our annual Thanksgiving at the Riverbend Resort. We ate, drank and made MERRY.

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate...

We went to the Creede Chocolate Festival on Saturday. It's the first time I've ever seen Ilon throw away a piece of chocolate, we had a bit of an overload. Cute town, great weather, fun times.

Oh Christmas Tree

On the way home from our Thanksgiving cabin stay we picked up our first cut straight from the forest Christmas Tree. Pretty sweet way to end the weekend!

Tis the season...

The Alamosa lights ceremony! Following a Christmas truck through town, with almost the entire town, listening to carols, ending with the lighting of City hall and the train, with live music, hot chocolate and cookies in the fire station = pretty sweet way to kick off the season.

Some of our Thanksgivings so far...

And the pumpkin continues...

Pumpkin donut holes
Breakfast in bed, pumpkin pancakes

(MOM, we love the wild-animal cookie cutters. I don't remember when you gave them to us, but we love them.)

Blizzards

We hit a little weather on the way home and had an extra night of vacation in a cozy hotel in Trinidad, Colorado, to wait out the storm. Darn.

We woke up to this winter wonderland!

The drive home was beautiful, and turned into bright blue skies.

Now back to the day-to-day of (chilly) Alamosa.

Mere and Clint's weekend...

Dinners, family, good food, etc...
