Day 2, picture overload.

Across the street from our hotel, The Warwick!

Breakfast

We took the subway down to the bottom of Manhattan, surprisingly arrived at the right place, and took a water taxi tour of the NYC shoreline.

I wasn't expecting the Statue of Liberty to be so beautiful, and we got a great history lesson from our tour guide about how she was built, this was an amazing ride!

We walked back through Wall Street...

And Chinatown

And got back to the hotel in time to get ready for our night on the town!

We went to dinner and the Phantom of the Opera!

This show was fantastic, the best of the best singing, dancing, costumes, wonderful wonderful wonderful.

This is Times Square after the show, on a Wednesday night. The city really doesn't sleep!

Ending the night with a good 'ole pretzel off the street.

Denver to New York City!

Tara and Tracey.
Pretty awesome to have a night for the 3 of us to catch up, a lot of years have gone by! 13 years, actually, since we went to YWAM in Melbourne, Australia.  We had a great dinner and night with Tara and Julie in Denver remembering old jokes and stories, looking at pictures, eating TIm Tams, so many memories!

We woke up at 3am to head out to the airport....

To NYC!!!

This was my first trip to New York, I have always wanted to go!

New York is FULL of people,

beauty,

cathedrals,

hidden parks and gardens,

Central Park!

And wine and pizza, of course, for the weary travelers.

More pictures to come!

Another goodbye

I spent several weeks saying goodbye to everyone I worked with at SLVRMC.  There are so many people that made it a fun, amazing, challenging, worthwhile place to work and I realized I don't have any pictures. No pictures! I want to remember this hospital, and this group of people, because they made me the nurse I am today, and I am so grateful for that! For my first 3 years in this field that is ever changing, I am saying goodbye to the ICU (for now) and everyone who taught me everything I know, and all the patients I met along the way. I am excited for what is ahead and sad for what I am leaving. I am opening a new chapter in Labor and Delivery, BABIES, and MOMMAS! Excited for what is to come!
