Creede

At least once a week when Izzie has her days off we all get to go on a mini adventure. Last week we went to spend the day in Creede. We strolled through town and ate lunch at the park. We toured the mining museum and fed the chipmunks. Such a cute little town. We finished our day off with hot chocolate at cafe ole. This next week we are going to the white water festival in Salida.

Swimming

We miss living next to a swimming pool and being able to go whenever we wanted to. We have been able to go to Hooper twice since we have been here. Ilon is starting to get braver and braver in the water. She can sand up on her own in the shallow end and like to walk by herself. They also have a water slide that she likes to go down by herself. Gabe is a super chiller in the water. He can float for hours just like mom.

Zapata Falls

We made the treacherous stream crossing through the icy cold water to behold spectacular Zapata Falls. The falls are tucked back into a narrow canyon. They are much more fun to see in person. Our family outings have changed quite a bit since moving to Alamosa.

Sand Dunes

It's great that we only live 30 minutes from the sand dunes. We got a family pass for the year for only $15. The first time we went Ilon was a little bit scared of the water. She didn't like the logs that came down the stream. We have had many long talks that the logs won't get you and this last time she got over her fear of the logs and thoroughly enjoyed herself. It was great fun.

Fantastics

We recently started to take Ilon to toddler gymnastics. She loves it. She gets to bounce on the trampoline, go on the balance beams, and practice swinging on the bars. She even gets to do rolls and somersaults on the floor. We go every Monday and Wednesday for half an hour and only $1 a session. This last week Addie got to come and she loved it too. Every week Ilon asks when we get to go to fantastics.

Oh a little tidbit from the week.

A little old lady had to be shocked. In between shocks she holds my hand, looks at me and says "you have such pretty blue eyes. isn't it fun to have all of these people in here together?" now if that isn't a darn good attitude about being electrocuted I don't know what is.
