Dallas!

We came in to town for a special wedding weekend, the newly pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Turner. It was a fantastic blur of activity; the bride was gorgeous, our family was lovely, and we enjoyed every minute.

Wine tasting with dad...

Partying with the bride-to-be

The Dallas Arboretum.
The theme was fairy tales, and not the disney kind. It was pretty amazing; castles and houses and story-books. And of course pumpkins, thousands of pumpkins. It was a gorgeous day!

More on the wedding weekend to follow...

Abilene

We had a lovely lunch stop in Abilene with my Grandmother and Grandaddy.
Sweet as ever... and the kids had a long nap in to Dallas.

And we're off!

We got a lazy start on our trip to Texas and spent the evening at Ruby Tequilas, a family favorite, and my aunt and uncles lake house, another family favorite. Nice to be back, Amarillo!

Halloween

Strawberry Shortcake, a "Bap" (bat), Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, soup, trick or treating, and of course... pumpkin pancakes. Hello Halloween!

And a very happy birthday to Michelle, had to post this pic, we love you!

Thanksgiving

My mom sent us this book a couple of weeks ago:

It is about living in thanks, and the joy that comes from it. It's full of truth and hope, and encouragement to live in the present, which has always been hard for Aaron and I. So we are "growing" a Thanksgiving tree for the month of November. Every day we'll all add a leaf and write what we are thankful for on the back. I'll probably share what we come up with here...

I want my kids to grow up thankful, and I want to be thankful!
We have a lot to be thankful for.
